  1. it s one of a kind…… finally i’ve seen it on movie….
    :like much :)

  2. Went to see the film last night with my partner and what can i say ….. a brillant put together film , good castings and script was brillant too .

  3. I have read the book, and am looking forward to seeing the movie next wk. But no Uncle Al – too bad, he was such a big part of the book/circus.

    • He’s still ‘there’, as they’ve combined the characters of Uncle Al and August… See my interview with Director Francis Lawrence for the explanation!

  4. OMG! I can’t believe there’s no Uncle Al, I could see him perfectly. I hope the dog is still in

  5. I expect they combined the two men to make August less sympathetic from the start. In writing, it’s important that all characters have positive qualities as well as flaws. In film this tends to get rushed.

  6. Are they going to have the Jack Russell in it? Oh I hope so!!

    • I see Queenie!

  7. Robert Pattison was listed in Time Magazine, May 10, issue as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World on page 82.

  8. I am so excited to see a favorite book of mine to be played out by such an amazing cast! I love it!

  9. Wow, this is an amazing cast! I’ve read the book (several times!) and each role has been perfectly cast. That is a most impressive feat!

  10. Jim Norton as Camel is just perfect!!!

  11. After reading a synopsis of the story of this film I am anxiously awaiting for the release fo the movie “Water for Elephants.”

I am a fan of Robert Pattinson’s acting after viewing “Little Ashes”, Remember Me” and “How to Be” and I can only foretell he will be wonderful in this role as Jacob. I have a feminine intuition that this movie MIGHT be up for an Oscar after it is released. It should prove to be a smash hit and one that will have many filmgoers affected by the story.

  12. Why aren’t they casting the role of Uncle Al?

    • Because the Uncle Al character is apparently not in the script adaptation of the book. It’s presumed that the characters of Uncle Al and August have been combined.

      • WOW! So many things Uncle Al does, that it will be hard to see the characters combined!!! I figured they would have to be 2 separate characters! This should be interesting!!

      • Really? I figured Uncle Al was kind of a big deal in the book…Hmmmm

        • I agree. Combining these two main characters is a puzzlement at best.

      • Thank you as I was wondering who would be portraying Uncle Al as I have not been able to find out in any posted cast list for WFE the Movie..
